This was a fun cake to make.
He is all edible, I made the face a few days before that way it would not fall off from being to soft.
This Cake was for A 3 year old's birthday party.

The cake is Chocolate with a Cinnamon dulce de Leche filling.

This is my first attempt with just butter cream and no fondant...well I couldn't help my self the pumpkin's are fondant but that's it.

Chocolate chip cookie kick

Well it seems that I am on a kick for cookies.
I would like to think of myself as some what of a health nut but when it comes to sweets I just can't say no it seems. So I have been looking for recipes that are good for you and TASTE good as well.
Let me tell you that is not an easy find. I have gone through so many different recipes that claim to taste good and they never do.

Well let me tell you I finally found the one Chocolate Chip Cookie that is good for your and believe it or not it has that mmm good taste to it.

These cookies have Gluten free flour in them. The recipe I found called for almond flour but I could not find any around my town so I ended up using Gluten Free flour.
And to sweeten it I used Agave nectar.

So good the Children will not notice!

2 1/2 C. Blanched Almond Flour (I used Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour)
1/2 teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt ( I used table salt)
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 C. Grape Seed Oil
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
1/2 C. Agave nectar
1/2 C. dark chocolate 73%

1.Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl
2. Stir together wet ingredients in a smaller bowl
3. Mix wet ingredients into dry
4. Form 1/2 inch balls and press onto a parchment lined baking sheet
5. Bake at 350 for 7-10 min
6. Cool and serve
Makes 24 cookies

Here is a really fast, simple, mmm....good cookie.

Chocolate Chip Cake Cookie
All you will be needing for these little guys is:
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup shortening
1 cake mix
(your choice you can also do a chocolate cake mix to make extra chocolate)
6 oz chips
1/2 cup nuts \optional
Beat everything together till light and fluffy and then add chocolate chips and nuts.
Put in a 375 oven for 10-12 min

Mmmm... so good
this will make about 35 cookies depending on the size.
I tend to make smaller cookies

Back to school snack

Today I made a really quick and easy snack for my husbands back to school lunch.
He loves peanut butter cookies...what better snack to put in his lunch?
This has been the most fast and simple cookie I have ever made.

I made them bite size,
that way if he gets hungry during class he can sneak a bite.

The batch made about 60 bite size cookies.

Sorry the picture didn't turn out so well.

A new adventure

Hello,
This book was so fun to make.

I made it for a group of women who love to write.

This was my first time working with modeling chocolate.

It was also my first time doing the roses.

The design for this book came from my head, believe it or not.

The cake was chocolate with a hint of cinnamon

with a chocolate cream cheese frosting.

Covering the book was fondant and modeling chocolate.

Just thought I would show a few different angles.

Hello , Just wanted to show off some of the cakes I have done since I have started.

This was my first attempt to make a topsy turvy cake.

I learned a lot from this cake.

So much fun making this cake.

This cake is called Baby Rump cake.

This was my 3 fondant cake I had ever made and one of my favorites.

I had little flip flops all around the cake.

My name is Candace Jane and making cakes is a passion of mine. I have been baking cakes for a while now and it's truly wonderful! I love to bring my clients fun and great tasting cakes. I am up for an challenge so if you have an idea I'd love to hear from you!

I discovered that making cakes was a passion of mine when my husband and I were planning our wedding. I was looking for a bargain but couldn't find anyone that was in our budget, so that's when I pulled out the cake pans and found a passion of mine. I am a very detailed person and enjoy creating and scultping each cake to perfection.

It does get challenging with a 7 month old but that is what nap times are for! I hope you enjoy what you see here and look forward to working with you on your next cake!
